October 2009

Fun time passes so fast. Now, its already our fourth day. Its time to pack up and go home.. All the happy times spent together will be etched in our minds forever. Some of you might be feeling very reluctant to leave this camp as you've really enjoyed this camp alot. Some might be feeling very elated to go home so that you can finally rest well. But whatever it is, i personally think that everyone also enjoyed certain parts during the camp, eg; the campfire.


From my point of view, i feel alittle reluctant to leave this camp.. but at the same time, i feel very exhausted! I just can't wait to go home and rest. But overall, this camp is very enjoyable. Day 1, the whole class did the rock climbing, challenge rope and the high elements together... Our class has never been closer in these two years.
Day 2, we went for water activities and the challenge valley. We got to work with people we've never worked with before. Both the girls and guys work together very well. Weixiang lost his shoe in the milo pond and he couldn't balance and fell 4 times in a row. His expression after he didnt manage to stand properly was hilarious.. everyone started laughing at him.. and he still asked, where's my shoe? Thank you for entertaining our class. For the first time, everyone participated in the cheer actively.
Day 3, its doomz day. But before we nearly died due to exhaustion, the whole class participated in the Sarimbun challenge. The challenge was very tiring but also consists of alot of teamwork. Both group 12 and 13 did a wonderful job by obtaining high points! yay, 3 cheers for 2E7!

To me(jiaqi), the hardest challenge was the egg thingy challenge(haha...i dont know what it is called). our group failed terribly but our effort is the reason why we still managed to get the points.. we tried and tried.. instead of thinking that it failed, we try even harder. We cheer on louder for extra bonus points and never give up. This whole camp has taught me something, to never give up on whatever challenge you are doing, instead of giving up cuz you find it hard, why not try even harder? President Obama always encourage people to try harder before they even think they fail. And failing many times doesnt means you are a failure.. cuz your failures dont define you. It only teaches you from your mistakes and not to repeat it again. Mr Obama also say that the most successful people fails the most number of times.. but they never gave up!

today we did some activities like kayaking, rafting,challenge valley and zipline and abseiling.
was tiring to carry the kayak....very heavy u know... then girls carry until they were breathless and arms aching...but thanks to the strong boys (like superman), the girls did not need to use much strength.
we entered into the open sea and started kayaking...then i (eunice) kayak halfway then stuck at there cannot go back to shore...i was scared and started panicking and screaming for help...very scary one you know...if you are there sure scream also....but overall still quite fun ....

we were split into 2 groups, grp 12 and 13, and were engaged into a small competition between the 2 grps. we were supposed to:
step 1: build a raft
step 2: sell the product to the instructor
step 3: try it out (competition)
but in the end both group ended in a draw...
shall post videos for the challenge valley...too much to type out le and shortage of time..

Anw, during the raft challenge, we finally get to know who are the ones who work better in the team and who are the ones always slacking. Both groups drew in the challenge.
Right after the challenge valley, some of us experienced doing the zipline and abseiling. OK, to me(jiaqi), i find abseiling tougher and scarier than zipline. As you got to just lay back and relax and control your speed going downwards... i got so panicky! Can you imagine laying backwards and its soo highhhhh!! OH MY GOD! Haha, but its a wonderful experience gain. right? ;)

For those people who played zipline, they personally find it not as thrilling as they expected because it isnt as fast. After that, we went to have 1 hour shower. We finally managed to get a 1hour shower! whoooooooooo! Soon right after dinner, we went for nightwalk. I personally find it boring becuz we got to wait for a long time to be instructed. I even fell asleep....... I think i prefer those water activities!
